Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer

Hey Beauties!

I went to Sephora yesterday to see about the new palettes that came in (which by the way I had to scoop the new Violet Voss "Like A Boss" palette). When I got to the counter, I used my points and got a sample size of the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer.

I tried it as soon as I got home and this is what happened:

First I moisturized my skin just in case the primer would be drying. When I applied it, it was a very ashy color on my skin of course. It felt very soft and not oily. It was not a bad finish, but I wish that it could have been a translucent color.

After applying foundation, my foundation felt a little more matte but with a small glow. This is not the best primer for me, but for someone who likes the velvety type primer would definitely like this.

This primer comes in 3 sizes on the Sephora website. Mini size retails for$19, Standard size retails for $54, and Value size retails for $75. If you are not sure if you will like this primer, I would suggest getting the mini size. A little goes a long way so the mini size could last for a minute.

In my opinion, I would not purchase this primer full size. I like more hydrating primers so my skin does not have to work as hard to stay hydrating and become oily. But this primer would definitely work for someone wanting a matte look.
